Dichotomy

The moon was briskly kissing the dark sky ,
the stars gazed at it in complete awe ,
the rain had stopped now .

‘ why don’t you come back ? ‘ ,
her voice was shaky ,
her body trembling ,
her face soaked with tears,
you have to let go sometimes ,
love is selfless ,
it is beyond someones ownself ,
beyond you beyond me beyond all ‘ he tried to sound composed .
‘ i dont know about all that ,
for me love is all about you ,
love is being adored by you ,
love is being cheerished by you, .
if me wanting you is selfishness then i am glad to be selfish ‘

she was out of breath , gasping,
silence greeted her from the other side of the phone call,
and it was then she realised,
he was never there and that ,
love was just her mere hallucination.
